MATTERS OF THE HEART

Not all love stories are for ever and nor any break-up the dead end of relationships. And all love stories begin in pretty much the same way, but they can end differently: a painful partition, a mutually agreed separation, or, when a bit crass, an unceremonious dumping.

The year 2012 saw its share of new relationships and break-ups among our Bollywood glitterati. In the news for personal reasons were celebrities likeBipasha Basu, John Abraham, Shahid Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Dia Mirza,Jacqueline Fernandez, Sajid Khan, Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma.

BIPASHA-RANA

Bipasha Basu, on the other hand, has been bonding with her Dum Maaro Dumco-star Rana Daggubatti. Though the tall, dark and handsome Telugu star has said that Bipasha is only a friend, we know the word can have different meanings in Bollywood patois. How else would you explain the instances of the two partying together?

DIA MIRZA-SAHIL SINGHA

At last, Bollywood’s dainty damsel, the soft and sweetie, cutie-patootie Dia Mirza found a partner in Sahil Sangha. Not just a romantic partner but also a business partner for they produced the film Love Breakups Zindagi together. Well, we hope there’s only Love and no Breakup in their Zindagi.

JACQUELINE FERNANDEZ-SAJID KHAN

Murder 2 girl Jacqueline Fernandez hooked up with director Sajid Khan. The two are learnt to be serious about their relationship, but we don’t see a wedding happening anytime soon.

JOHN ABRAHAM-PRIYA MARWAH

Not the one to mope over a steady relationship gone kaput, John Abraham stepped out with his girlfriend Priya Marwah, to let the world know that he’s not single anymore. Moreover, John has said that he is very much thinking of tying the knot soon.

PRABHU DEVA-WIFE

The ugly wrangle between Prabhu Deva and his wife Ramlath ended with the two getting divorced and Prabhu Deva having to pay a handsome alimony. On a positive note: the path is cleared for Prabhu Deva to tie the knot with his girlfriend Nayanthara.

RANVEER-ANUSHKA

They can’t live together. They can’t live apart. That has pretty much been the situation from the start between Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma. In a candid disclosure, Anushka revealed that her relationship with Ranveer could get ‘violent’ at times. Later, both of them confirmed that they have separated. Now, Ranveer Singh is learnt to be getting friendly with Sonakshi Sinha.
