BLOOD MONEY MOVIE REVIEW........

Inspired by Leonardo DiCaprio’s Blood Diamonds, the movie Blood Money directed by Vishal Mahadkar and produced by Mahesh Bhatt ended to be a complete boredom. Though the genre claimed the film to be a thriller but this tag appered quite fake and it was not mass appealing at all.
The lead casts include Kunal Khemu as Kunal and Amrita Puri as Arzoo along with Manish Choudhary, Shekher Shukla, and  Mia Uyeda .The plot revolves around the couple , the way they live their lives in Mumbai initially and finally escape to Cape Town, South Africa. Here, Kunal  acquires his dream job that he had always wished for in a firm named Trinity Diomands. In no time Kunal wins the skies  under the “right guidance” of his boss (Manish Chaudhary) a disguised bootlegger , where the cops are unable to catch him because of his simple businessman attire.  Unaware of the fact Kunal is ecstatic with his job when finally he finds himself trapped in an underworld moat. At this point of time Arzoo’s prediction falls true. She had narrated Kunal the Hansel and Gretel fairytale where a witch jumps in the story to ruin the lives. The fairytale like life of the innocent couple is badly disrupted when Kunal has to decide his fate – whether to kill his soul and live by his dreams or to give up everything for the sake of ‘the right’.
Selling his soul, he chooses his dreams and goes for every possible way to achieve success. While his professional life ascends, his personal life descends. The climax is very predictable. The movie at some points gives glimpses of Jannat.
The dialogues are not worth considering. Though Kunal Khemu is always appreciated for his good performance but here he fails to charm people. Arzoo’s dialogues overshadowed her appealing innocence. The film continues to be boring throughout. One could not help yawning twice, thrice or even more!
The movie’s music catches attention to some extent.’ Chahat’ became people’s favorite as soon as the music was launched. Apart from this ‘Jo tere sang’,’Gunaah’ and ‘Arzoo’ also found great popularity.
As far as the genre of the movie is concerned, it is absolutely not thrilling! There is no detailed mention of the illegal diamond bootlegging to terrorists or the underworld mafias, except a gist.
On the whole, Blood Money is a mere monotonous treadmill.  Absolutely waste of time and money.
