BUMBOO MOVIE REVIEW........

Amazingly directed by Jagdish Rajpurohit Bumboo is yet another comedy inspired by French-Italian comedy 'L'emmerdeur' which was released in English as 'A Pain in the A_ _’(1973). The play has been remade thrice. It was again made in US as BUDDY BUDDY (1981) and was made again in France as L'EMMERDEUR (2008).  To give an appropriate comic tag the movie is named Bumboo, where the word literally means getting screwed up or a fuss being created. The movie claims of ribs paining comedy but actually fails to do so. It lacks hilarious content except at some scenes.
The movie portrays a convict (Sudhir Pande) who is being taken from Mumbai to Goa.A contract killer (Sharat Saxena) is appointed to shoot him outside Goa court. A photo journalist (Kevin Dave) is also hired to capture the convict being shot dead. The plot revolves around the contract killer and the journalist, where they happen to meet each other while checking in simultaneously. They find themselves to be neighbors.
The plot takes a turn when the murder mission takes a setback and the journalist’s tragedy comes into scene. The journalist emotionally blackmails the shooter to help him patch up again with his wife. On the other side the convict delays his trip to Goa by giving excuses of his bad health. The film narrates the entire journey of the handful characters as they try to accomplish their assigned tasks.
The movie tries to be hilarious but pushes too hard for it. At many places the scenes are stretched more than required. Except some dialogues, other  jokes fall flat and are not very convincing. The characters only get on to one’s nerves by their howling and screaming throughout the movie.
Overall Bumboo has alien characterization with a weak script. It goes by its title to the fullest .
